White ‘gypsy’ blouse
All rather ’70s I thought, and perfect material for the design. You may have noticed that a lot of my clothes are coloured or patterned, so a pure white summer top makes quite a change, and should go with all of those summer skirts that I have made over the past three years. I wonder if I will associate it with the London marathon every time I wear it, as that was what is was watching as I pulled through yet another section of elastic? Somewhat easier to make than the ‘very easy’ top below. The only real problem was knowing which was the front and back when I tried it on. Eventually a few red back stitches marked the back, and continue to do so, as the design is not suitable for my ‘All my own work’ labels.
