Wimbledon Finals Day Dress
So titled because I was hemming whilst watching the Ladies Final. And for once, I could wear the dress immediately as it’s a lovely day.
The material is Indian, bought in Nepal from a really nice fabric shop. More of that to come. I had an idea I would make this pattern when I bought the material. It’s a simple shape, and although the pattern says ‘one hour dress’ and it probably takes about 5 – 6 hours to make, the biggest challenge was squeezing the pattern out of the material, having bought 2 metres when I could probably have done with 2m 10cm. Anyway, if I hadn’t have told you, you wouldn’t have known. The adjustments have been successful.
And now that the blog is up to date, I must take the dress off the model and wear it!
